Stung

A pretty butterfly in the driveway Tuesday.
This morning I decided to go walk around Battle Creek park. It's about 1.75 miles to do the loop, and I planned to do three loops. I started walking and called Grandma Trudy and talked to her for a while, then I called Grandma Anona. With about a quarter mile to go before I got back to the car, I felt a sharp pain in my ankle and yelped and looked down to see a bee wasp thing sitting at the top of my sock. It was yellow and stripey and not fat and bumbly. I swatted it away and was thoroughly annoyed because it really hurt and I figured it would be a bad idea to keep walking. Fortunately I was still talking to Grandma Anona, so I wasn't sad and depressed or really upset by it because telling her about it made it kind of exciting (but still painful). I got back to my car, ended my call and went home to wash the bite/sting and put Neosporin on it. I took a 24-hour allergy pill because it's basically all I have. I think I might have some ibuprofen though, which I'll go look for now and take if I can find it. I'm really grateful that I'm not allergic to bees. Instead of convulsing on the ground and praying a roller-skier would find me before it was too late, I was able to calmly walk to my car.
Could bee worse.
