It's 91 and very humid. Tomorrow is 94 and breezy. Friday is 85 and thunderstorms. Then the madness should wind down a little at the end of the week when we get a low below 74. I woke up at 3 this morning unable to sleep because I was boiling hot. I moved down to the mid-level to sleep on the living room couch, which was a little better but uncomfortable.
This morning I slept in, watched 101 Dalmatians and wrote the email to accompany my job application and sent it. It's officially out of my hands now. Hooray.
I am worthless when it's this hot. I should have planned my day better. I could have gone to one of the lakes or something. But it's just too darn hot to do anything. Ray and Karen told me this is the weather people move to Minnesota for. Come again?
The tomato plant on the back porch keeps wilting every other day. I was watering it every day but Ray said tomato plants only need water every other day. That may be true on normal days, but when it's over 85 degrees, the evidence suggests otherwise, so I watered it today.
My life, today, is boring. Off to work in 64 minutes.
